Then, we identify over 150 potential grants that align with your needs, and narrow these down to the top 20 best-fit opportunities. After assessing the competitiveness of each grant, we develop a strategic roadmap, known as a Funding Strategy. This tailored plan highlights the optimal grants to pursue over the next 12-18 months. Post-Award Requirements
Congratulations! You've secured the grant—now what? Post-award activities vary depending on the grant and funder. Typically, grants are restricted to the specific program or needs for which you applied. The Executive Director must sign an award letter from the funder, outlining fund usage, required reporting data, report formats, and submission schedules. Funding Strategy
The first step to a successful grant program is proper research and planning. After getting to know your organization and its goals, we will perform the research necessary to identify the 150+ grants that match your needs and then filter those down to the top ~20 good-fit opportunities.
After evaluating each grant for competitiveness, we create a strategic roadmap of best-fit grants to pursue and in what order over the next 12-18 months. Cost varies with the number of programs and/or locations involved.

Ready, Set, Apply!
After the Funding Strategy is complete, you have two choices:
1) if you would like SGS to execute that strategy, we will assess your organization and programs for grant readiness. We will help you get all of the pieces in place to give you the best chance at winning the individual grants chosen during the research for the Funding Strategy.
This will require your assistance in contacting funders, requesting letters of support, or reviewing the grant administration and reporting requirements set out by the funder.

Post-Award Duties
Congratulations, you won the grant! Now what? Well, that depends on the grant and the funder. Most grants are “restricted” to the specific program or needs for which you applied. Therefore, the Executive Director must sign an award letter from the funder. This agreement between your organization and the funder states that you will spend the money described in the grant application and produce reports/data in the format and on the schedule required by the funder. If the outcome is positive, you may be considered for another grant next year!
